Rare breeds with benefits for animal welfare.

That's why our motto is Rare. Humane. Sustainable.

Rare animals usually command a higher price than common animals and valuable animals are more likely to be well cared for. This also benefits their owners, providing an alternate market for their stock and reducing the risks that are an inevitable part of farming. Breeding rare animals also helps to counter the monoculture mentality, with its associated loss of genetic diversity, that has developed with modern agriculture.

By focusing on animlas with multiple uses- pets, milk, wool, meat, stud stock- we also improve the value of the individual animals, the returns for their owners and allow for more versatility in farming methods.
